Permissions and why we need them

- Access to the current webpage — required so PictureHarvest can detect and list the images available on the page you are visiting.
- Downloads — required to save selected images or ZIP files directly to your computer.
- Storage — used to remember simple settings such as your preferred view (grid or list) and download preferences. These settings remain only in your browser.
How the extension works
PictureHarvest scans the webpage you open in Chrome, identifies available images (including hidden and background images), and gives you the option to save them. All operations happen locally. Nothing is uploaded or shared outside of your device.
Third-party services
We do not use analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising networks. No third-party servers are involved in the operation of this extension.
Cookies and local storage
PictureHarvest does not create or use cookies. Your browser may still use cookies as part of normal website operation. The extension may use chrome.storage to save simple preferences (like layout or filter options), but this data never leaves your browser.
Data retention
Since we do not collect data on external servers, there is nothing stored centrally. Preferences saved in your browser remain until you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data.
Security
All processing happens within Chrome’s secure extension environment. PictureHarvest does not execute remote code or load external scripts. Updates are delivered only through the official Chrome Web Store.
Your rights
